Kelly and Alejandro are dedicated to both the tradition and the ever-evolving spirit of Argentine Tango. With over 20 years of combined experience and a shared path that’s taken them to more than 20 countries, their dancing blends the deep roots of Argentine tango with their own way of expressing its emotion: raw, musical, and honest. To them, tango isn’t just technique, it’s a way to connect, to be real, and to share a culture that they love.

Workshop 1 (6:00-7:15pm)

Daring D'Arienzo

There's a reason why when D'Arienzo plays in the milonga, not a single person is left in their seat. A man that changed the course of tango's history, D'Arienzo and his orchestra revolutionized how we both hear and dance to the music of tango. In this workshop, we will share tips, tricks, and secrets direct from Buenos Aires that will give you a deeper understanding of the Rey de Compas and how to express yourself creatively with any partner when his music plays.

Workshop 2 (3:30-4:45pm)

Cadenas and the Musicality of Vals (intermediate/advanced).

Everyone loves to get onto the dance floor when they hear a Vals tanda! Vals music can inspire some very special structures that are repeated over and over again, known as “cadenas” (or chains). We will deep-dive into the different types of cadenas, and explore how they fit into the Vals music.

Workshop 3 (4:50-6:05pm)

Synchronized and Connected Adornos for both roles.

Find greater connection & inspiration through synchronized and individual adornos! In this workshop, we will explore adornos that a couple can communicate and execute together, as well as how to maintain harmony in improvisation during the adornos of each role.

Workshop 4 (6:15-7:30pm)

The Musicality and Magic of Milonga.

Tap into the secrets of the many rhythmical possibilities of milonga and improve your comfort and creativity while you dance. Learn to apply the different musicalities of milonga through some essential sequences that will move us on the dance floor!
